1. Pre-Installation Preparation
- Verification: Check the certificate of conformity and nameplate to ensure the model matches your requirements.
- Inspection: Inspect the exterior for any transport damage, rust, or deformation. Identify the soft zone (S) and gear jump markings.
- Support Structure: Ensure the mounting base has sufficient rigidity to prevent deformation under load.
- Surface Cleanliness: The mounting surface must be clean and flat (free of iron chips or debris). For single-row ball types, the flatness should meet strict industrial standards (e.g., ≤0.15mm for diameters under 1000mm).

2. The Installation Process
- Positioning: Place the bearing horizontally. Ensure the soft zone and plug are positioned in non-load or light-load areas.
- Bolt Tightening: Use bolts of appropriate strength grades. Do not use spring washers. Tighten bolts symmetrically in a 180° pattern to ensure even pressure.
- Gear Alignment: For geared bearings, adjust the backlash between the large and small gears at the point of maximum gear jump.
3. Operation & Long-Term Maintenance
- Initial Check: After the first 100 hours of operation, check the bolt pre-load. Repeat this every 500 hours to ensure stability.
- Lubrication: Re-grease the raceway every 400 hours (ball type) or 50 hours (roller type) under normal conditions. In dusty or high-humidity environments, weekly lubrication is recommended.
- Seal Inspection: Regularly check if the seals are intact. Replace damaged seals immediately to prevent contaminants from entering the raceway.
